Sediment Filters |
| |
Sediment filtration
is used to remove
unwanted particles from the water, so that it looks cleaner. It is also
installed to remove
particles that might hinder filtration, i.e. deflect ultraviolet radiation.
When a sediment filtration system is fitted, the filter can become blocked very
quickly, so we try and balance the filtration finings to the time the filter lasts. If the water
requires a lot of cleaning then it is possible to use a back washable filter
which can be manual or automatic. A stainless steel or plastic
sediment filter costs more to set up, but the filter only needs to be cleaned and then
put back into use. |

Below we have displayed a selection of
water filter elements and the housings they are fitted into. |
